Growing up in Brampton, Ontario, Amanda always loved to perform. Even when she was in grade six, she was unafraid to get up on a stage by herself and perform a mime skit at a student talent show.

Attending Mayfield Secondary School for the Regional Arts Drama Program, she was an avid participant in any and all afterschool activities involving performing with a jazz singing group to attending and later running the improv club overseen by Erica Buss. She spent her senior years on stage, her favourite performance being the role of Nora in their spring rendition of Escape from Happiness by George F. Walker, directed by Nicholas Kilbertus.

After leaving high school Amanda was ready to fully commit to her passion of acting and was accepted to Humber College's Acting for Film and Television Program. During her time there she was able to hone technical camera skills, audition in front of some of Toronto's casting directors, and study with such artists as Allan Guttman, David Ferry, Maria Ricossa, and Sheila Macarthy

She graduated top of her class, recieving the Award of Excellence. Amanda trained at Second City and graduated from the Improv for Actors program in 2015 under the tutelage of Ed Sahely and Jennine Profeta.
